Dell put fast 120Hz panels in its latest UltraSharp monitors

Dell has unveiled four new UltraSharp monitors, catering to both work and gaming needs by offering a 120Hz refresh rate and innovative eye comfort features.

Traditionally known for providing color-accurate screens for work, these monitors introduce a new level of visual comfort.

The two 27-inch models sport 1440p resolutions, while the two 24-inch monitors feature 1080p resolutions.

All of them utilize IPS LCD displays, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, twice the refresh rate commonly found in Dell's UltraSharp models.

The higher refresh rates are not solely intended for gamers. Dell positions them as part of a suite of features aimed at enhancing visual comfort and reducing eye strain.

In addition to the improved refresh rates, Dell's monitors emit significantly less "harmful blue light" compared to previous models.

They also incorporate built-in ambient light sensors, capable of adjusting the monitor's brightness and color tone according to your room's lighting conditions.

The two 27-inch monitors, the Dell UltraSharp 27 Monitor (U2724D) and the Dell UltraSharp 27 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor (U2724DE), offer 16:9 LCD screens that cover 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color spectrum.

The latter includes a Thunderbolt 4 port for charging laptops with up to 90W of power, in addition to a range of connectivity options such as USB-C and USB-A ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.1 with VRR support.

Similarly, the two 24-inch monitors, the Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitor (U2424H) and the Dell UltraSharp 24 USB-C Hub Monitor (U2424HE), offer the choice of a USB-C port, capable of carrying video, data, and providing up to 90W of charging.

These monitors are also equipped with IPS LCD panels and feature a 16:9 aspect ratio, though they offer 1080p resolution. While HDMI ports are version 1.4, VRR support is not specified.

In addition to these 120Hz monitors, Dell has introduced a trio of video conferencing monitors, each featuring dual speakers, microphones, and 2K webcams.

Available in 24-inch and 27-inch models with 16:9 aspect ratios and 1080p and 1440p resolutions, the 34-inch model stands out with an ultrawide 21:9 1440p resolution.

Dell's latest monitors will be gradually released in the upcoming weeks, with prices ranging from $379.99 for the 24-inch 120Hz model to $949.99 for the ultrawide video conferencing monitor. Here are the complete details of prices and release dates:
